Mother Earth, Father Sky :
Oh,Mother Earth, Oh, Father Sky, What Awesome Beauty- What Splendor you grace
us with.... The Renewing rains that fall from the clouds- refreshing the plants, animals, and little streams; And
the Beautiful Rainbow that catches the sun and flashes Brilliant colors ,Back to us on earth, Who
but a Rainbow could mix wet and fire for such colors? The silent silvery stars have a secret language
all their own -Who knows what they might be saying as they twinkle in the night?
The Singing,Bubbling,Carefree Brook twists and turns her way thru the woods ; Humming a happy, timeless
tune- moving slowly, then hurriedly-depending on her mood. The Tall,Stately
Pines that shape the forest floor- They Bend and Sing in a storm or a wind With a graceful, proud, rhythm
all their own, And Nothing is quite so rare And Nothing can quite compare With the Beauty of the Sun
rising and glistening off a Tall Field of Amber Wheat. Oh,Mother Earth- Oh, Father Sky- Everywhere I Look
is Beauty.

Another One of my Poems:Untitled:(I wrote this when I was pregnant with my second child,SKYE.)
When I think of the tiny, little one that I carry inside me, I get lightheaded with Rapturous delight, I feel a
thrill that pierces my very soul-- Such Excitement,Such Anticipation! And when I'm weary or moody,or my back hurts- Our
baby kicks me Hard As if whispering words of encouragement, "Not long now,Mother, not long". I'm sure that anyone
who watches me thinks I'm crazy-- Because I pat my tummy And talk to our baby throughout the day. But I know he hears
my words and is comforted by my touch. When the day comes to a close, And I lay snuggled in your arms, I feel a closeness
and joy with you, that I'd not known until now. And I can't resist the urge to reach out and stroke Your Beautiful, Young
Body.... and smooth back Your Fine,Black Hair.... And take your hand, and place it on My Firm,Round Stomach-- So
that you too,can feel the Life that you have planted-- Rejoicing in it.
Judy Nolan(Shawneefirebird)
Grey
Grey as the fog on winter nights
Grey as the mist that hovers
over waters
Grey as wild doves
feeding in an open meadow
surronded by the woods.
These are the things I see in your eyes.
Dirty snow grey.
The sad grey of the city sky.
Dingy,faded,white grey.
Death grey.
These are Hidden-
Deeper in your eyes....
Not even Time can erase
what eyes have seen.
Judy Nolan(Shawneefirebird)
I'd like to fall asleep in you arms
Knowing you'd still be there when I woke.
No one sings me lullabies anymore.
Will you sing me a sleep song just the same?
Let it be of Roses
And Castles built of stone
Of Knights in shining armor-
Of Mountains and the
Harvest Moon.....
Tell me you'll stay
Tell me you'll stay
Don't make me no false promises-
Just tell me you will stay.
Judy Nolan(Shawneefirebird)
You came into my life
like a warm summer's breeze
Like a soft springtime rain-
Bringing back to me the Warmth
that I'd forgotten long ago.
You are the soft field of clover
Where I lay my head when
I feel weary.
The Garden where I walk-
with a thousand different Flowers
And Scents
with a thousand different Fruits
to delight my tastes and senses-
And to refresh my
Soul.
You are the sweet,sweet,Nectar Wine
that makes me drunk
with Ecstasy......
Judy Nolan(Shawneefirebird)
As the Sun comes thru
the cracks in my curtains
making particles Dance
before me
I think of soft Kittens
and velvet ribbons-
of Morning Dew-
and little Sparrows.....
And I picture you with your long hair
blowing-
running naked thru a Field of Gold....
And I'm glad I've had a change of heart
And I'm glad that this New Dawn
has given me
more than just another day.
Judy Nolan(Shawneefirebird)
Longer than there's been Majestic Mountains,
Longer than there's been a Moon in the Sky
Higher than the Planets orbit,
Higher than the Eagles fly-
I've been in love with you.... I've been in love with you.
Since before the Dawn of Dinosaurs,
Long before the Age of Man,
before Time itself began-
I've been in love with you.... I've been in love with you.
Judy Nolan;Shawneefirebird
You tell me that you love me,
Yet, when I try to Talk to you,
You turn away in Anger.
You tell me that you love me,
Yet,when I talk of my Dreams,
You turn away in Fear.
You tell me that you love me,
Yet,NO RESPECT is given.....
For WHO I AM and WHAT I DO.
You tell me that you love me,
Yet,With your Puffed-Up,Egotistical Pride,
You "DEVALUE" Me.
You tell me that you love me,
Yet,you feel Threatened,when "I" Change and Grow.
You tell me that you love me,
Yet,you DO NOT WANT THE BEST FOR ME.
You tell me that you love me,
Yet,You CANNOT LOVE YOURSELF.
You tell me that you love me,
Yet,YOU TURN...... And WALK AWAY......
Written March,2002: "Concerning the Separation"
Shawneefirebird(Judy)
I can tell you have suffered, my Friend,
I can read it in your eyes;
Memories that Haunt your waking days,
Stalk you at night with Erie Phantoms.....
Stealing away your Future
Robbing you of your Present
Trapping you in your Past.
I can see that you have Battle Scars.....
Fine lines of Pain-
Carved upon your Face.....
Sculpting you into a Warrior,
Or one of the Walking Dead.
I can tell that you have been there my Friend.....
I can hear it in your voice.....
You speak with Trepidation,
Edged with Anger-
Not sure of Who You Are-
Or the Power that You Hold.....
NOW - NOW- LISTEN My Friend-
Take the Scars,
Take the Pain,
Embrace them
Let them wash over you
Like the Sea Washes Over the Rocks on the Shore.
Grow Wise from them,
Use them to Make You Strong
Then pass this Wisdom on to Others.
It is those of Us Who Have Been There Before,
Who Bare the Scars-
Who Become the Teachers.....
Hoping that by doing so,
We Can Save At least One.

A POEM WRITTEN BY MY TWO YOUNGEST SONS,GREYHAWK AND CHEYENNE:
"FALL"
In the Fall
The tall Trees
lose their leaves....
They turn yellow,red,and brown
And fall to the ground.
The weather turns cool
And the fish in the pool
Go deep to stay warm.
Sometimes it's rainey,and misty,and foggy
We put on our jackets
So we don't get soggy.
When we walk in the woods
If we're quiet and still
The Dove, Quail, and Deer
Will always appear.
The Fall is a wonderful time of the year.

A POEM WRITTEN BY MY 10 YR.OLD, CHEYENNE OCT. 2002
I'll hold your hand until you fall asleep and then I'll say "Aloapeepe".
I love you deeply with ALL MY HEART, there is nothing in this world that could break us apart.
The only thing that I love more, would be JESUS CHRIST walking in the door.
So to this day I give you this letter
With Indian Beads and an Indian Feather.
I LOVE YOU MAMA. For those of you who do not know what"Aloapeepe"is,it means Go to sleep,in "Cajun".My husband is part
Cajun, which makes my children part Cajun.
ANOTHER POEM BY CHEYENNE OCT 2002
I love you Mama very much
I love it when you rub me with your soft touch.
And Daddy loves you more than ever before
We all like it when you walk in the door.
When I'm done with my chores,You say, "Thankyou",cause your're so sweet,
You give me a hug,and give me a treat.
I love you Mama.
